We had lots of fun investigating capacity. We could fill our containers so they were full, nearly full, nearly empty and empty. To check they were empty we put them above our heads!
We were checking to see how many cups filled our containers and comparing their capacities. Can you investigate further at home? How many cups of water would fill the washing up bowl? How many spoonfulls of water fills one cup? What else could you measure?
